STUDENTS

FALL 2022 CAREER MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

One of the needs that we hear most often from International Students is finding a job.

We have started offering a Career Mentorship Program to International Students. This 3 week program involves matching up a student with a mentor in a field of work that the student is wanting to pursue.

We hope that this program will help you learn about the Canadian Workplace culture and your specific industry and help to equip you to find a job and thrive in it. We are actively recruiting mentors from across Canada that are excited to help international students.  The program has 3 Modules that will help you in this process.

  1. Communication

  2. Working on the Job

  3. Industry Overview

The Fall 2022 will start in October and lasts for 3 weeks. Prior to that, you are required to attend one orientation before the mentoring officially starts. Students could work out the day/time that is mutual convenient for the mentor and themselves. For more information, please click here.

MENTORS

FALL 2022 CAREER MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

Mentoring an international student could be a rewarding experience. You can share your professional experience and your insights in your specialized field with a student who is new to Canada and Canadian workplace culture. Besides, you could also build a long-term friendship with them and learn a new culture.

Please join us as a mentor for the Career Mentorship Program this Fall

Sessions are only 1 - 1.5 hours, and are centered around conversations about Canadian workplace culture, including:

1. Canadian communication culture

2. Culture in the workplace

3. Industry overview and Canadian hiring culture

International students can meet you in person or online, and mentors are encouraged to continue their connection with the student after the program closes.

This is a great way to support our community, learn about other cultures, and build rich relationships. For further information, please click here.
